Meet Avery!
Hi! I’m Avery, a self-taught visual artist from the small town of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. From an early age, I loved drawing cartoons and portraits, and over time I discovered how meaningful it is to create art thats worth a thousand words—whether of a loved one, a pet, or a place of comfort or imagination. Seeing the joy and connection my work brings to others has shaped the way I approach my art.
Get to Know Me!
In recent years, I’ve been drawn to painting skies—sunsets, storms, and light breaking through clouds—that feel like glimpses of something greater. Many of these pieces begin with a loose idea or Scripture and then evolve naturally, reminding me of God’s presence and the freedom found in creativity. Balancing the careful detail of portrait work with the expressive movement of skies keeps me inspired and connected to both people and creation.
I pursued my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at the University of Central Florida, while also gaining experience through gallery work, exhibitions, and community events. In 2022, I illustrated my first published children’s book, Mooch and Marlow, and continue to grow as both an artist and storyteller.
I believe the Lord has blessed me with the gift and love of artistry, and I aim to honor Him by sharing His Word and glorifying Him through the talents and passions He has instilled in me. I pray to be a good steward of this gift and use it always for Him and for Others. I am grateful for the opportunity to document the beauty of God's creation through art and I can’t wait to see what He plans for me next.
